Entry to 7drl challenge 2026

I got sick all week, and I didn't get as much accomplished as I had hoped, so I'm marking this project unfinished. Also while I intended for this game to be a roguelike, I haven't been able to prioritize as many areas of procedural generation as I had hoped, so I worry it would be frowned upon to some extent.

I built this game using a prototype programming language in the works on top of a VM built in JS, I don't have anything to link to at the moment. For that reason performance is not great.

Anyway I hope you have fun playing, I had fun making it. Thanks for checking it out :)

NOTE: In preparation for this project, I built and deployed a custom metric server. Any wins/loses are recorded. No personally identifiable information is recorded. It was intended to be a way to monitor and tweak balance.

It took me a bit to figure out how to properly start the game, since I didn't know you had to drag the turret icon into the rectangle (and the drag isn't visually indicated until you're in the right spot). After that, I like the gunning action, although realistically I can only concentrate on controlling one turret and I just left the others pointing in mostly the right direction :)

Thanks for the playing and for the feedback, definitely would have liked to hone in the UX better
